Allen & Heath launches audio interface options for iLive-T digital series
Allen & Heath will be introducing three new audio interface plug-in cards for the iLive-T digital mixing series at the Pro Light & Sound show in Frankfurt, enabling the system to interface with popular standards, including EtherSound, ADAT and AviomTM.
The Mini Multi-Out card has three optical ADAT outputs (24 channels), an AviomTM 16-channel output, and two iDR eight-bus outputs, which are HearBus compatible, providing a total of 56 outputs with independent patch-bay sourcing.
This option card allows iLive-T systems to provide outputs for AviomTM & HearBusTM personal headphone mixing systems, while simultaneously recording 24 channels via the ADAT outputs.
iLive’s flexible patch-bay routing allows any mic pre-amp split, channel direct output or mix out, to be sent to any channel of the card’s output formats.
The EtherSound card provides bi-directional 64 channel 24-bit audio with independent patch-bay sourcing. It enables the iLive-T Series to integrate with other iLive systems and EtherSound-enabled equipment, such as PCI card recording with ASIO and amplifier/speaker distribution.
An additional network socket is provided for connection of a PC running the ES monitor application to manage the ES network.
Allen & Heath’s proprietary ACE (Audio and Control over Ethernet) link offers a cost effective point-to-point connection up to 120m over CAT5 for 64 channels of audio with control at only 100us latency.
A primary ACE link is integrated in iLive-T Series hardware units to provide an audio and control connection between the MixRack and Control Surface.
The new ACE option card offers system expansion with other ACE-compatible iLive modules for point-to-point mic sharing (FOH/monitor digital split), and the two Ethercon CAT5 cable connections provide the additional feature of an auto switching redundant link.

Fitted in the Port B slot of the iDR-32 and iDR-48 MixRacks, all three plug-in cards are available from April, and retail prices are:
